If so, you must tune to the biography, which serves as a window into the lives of extraordinary people and is available through cable or satellite TV. The channel, which began programming in 1999 and is based on the documentary A & E Network TV series called Biography, has appeared biographies of people like Elvis Presley (whose home of Graceland, is the second most visited house in the States States), Pope John Paul II (which travels to 117 countries and all continents except Antarctica and became the most traveled pope of all time) Mao Zedong (Hunanese peasant origins), Queen Elizabeth II (who speaks fluent French), and Babe Ruth (also known as "The Bambino" and " Sultan of Swat ") and fictional characters such as Superman and Santa Claus.
At first, the episodes focused primarily on the lives of characters historical or current political or social leaders, but over time, more and more pop culture figures were added to the mix, making some criticism from people who did not like the abandonment of the purely intellectual. The Biography Channel observes the month, showing the programs dedicated to the life of these people U.S. Supreme Court Sonia Sotomayor, Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
