Procrastination: Will it Haunt Me in College?

Finals- everybody’s worst nightmare during school, right?

Well, fortunately or unfortunately, I’ve had 3 finals so far, all of which I have not studied one bit for. The results are 2 A’s in two classes, a B in the other.

Tomorrow I have 2 classes, in which an A on each final will result in 2 A’s in the class, bringing my total to 5 A’s and 1 B.

No complaining here, but with the no study technique, when will this come to haunt me? I am currently a sophomore in HS, and am NOT in low level classes. Geometry, Spanish II, Chem, World History and English Pre-IB. As it is, school is somewhat a breeze, with no real emphasis on studies or homework, though homework does get done for the most part (95%).

I just can’t bring myself to study. Adderoll, Concerta, nothing majorly helps.

I let myself do this because I get the said results; when will I learn my lesson, and whay advice do any of you graduates/current students have to offer?

Thanks!

Well it all depends on what college classes you intend to take. I usually leave all my studying for the last minute and do fine in all my classes. A lot of classes you can usually bs an answer, especially if you at least paid attention in class. For example, I took a social psychology course, and everything in that class was pretty general so I could just use common sense on the exams. Anyways, if you plan to take classes like biology, human anatomy, or statistics, you better start studying! It’s better to get into the habit of studying while you’re still young because once you get older, you’ll find it harder to change your studying habits. Maybe get together with a few other fellow students to study to motivate you.
