Spanish History On Rice

Chances of admission into Rice University?
I am currently a Junior, and I am in the top tenth of my class. I take all the AP and honors classes that are offered. 3 years of Spanish, one honors. My grades are very strong, but I understand Rice is a very difficult school to be accepted into. My extracurriculars are 3 years of varsity level sports, National Honors Society, little bit of UIL competitions in History and in Art. Volunteer at an elementary school tutoring children every other day, Spanish Club, and some odd jobs here and there helping out local businesses. My ambitions are in architecure, and that is where I would directly apply to. Not trying to brag but I am very good as that is where I probably excell the most. I would have a very strong portfolio to send the admissions department as well. What do you think my chances of getting into Rice are? I haven’t taken the SAT’s or anything yet, but I am working on that. Please someone with knowledge about this subject answer this for me.
Congratulations! Looks like you’re on the right track! Here are a few tips:
1. Take your SAT’S as soon as you can. Take in mind that you can re-do this test many times in case you feel that you can do better. By some SAT Prep Books and if you really want to raise your score you can even take the Kaplan Course which guarantees you a higher score!
2. Extracurricular activities play a huge role in your application! Join the Key Club. Do community and social service! This will help you a lot!
3. Kick back and enjoy your last years at school! You will truly miss it! Remember to have fun as well!
Best of luck to you!
