Why are filipino people so proud they were conquered by spanish people?
Well the reason why iam asking this question because iam interested in anthropology.
Honestly i would be really ashamed if my country was enslaved by foreigners. And how come Filipino always say they have Spanish blood in them? When i look in Filipino history books its say their dna comes from China, Korea and twain. WHeres the Spanish ancestry?
Well India was conquered by the British for 200 years. Majority of the population does not have English sounding names and does not look white. So whats your point?
Because most Asian countries have a complex favorable to white men.
In Cambodia or Vietnam they were proud to be colonized by the French. They even invite French to setup French school there.The Spanish culture attract even Chinese or Japanese who were never colonized by the Spanish.
Many Chinese women fantasize about Italian or Spanish men that they find very handsome.
