What I can get work after being a police officer?
Hey, I am graduating next spring at the University of Memphis and now I have a 3.7 average. I'm with expertise and specialization in History of Philosophy. I have asked the Police Department Memphis, because they said it would be around a year paper work and test and what it would be before I actually be admitted to the academy. My question is whether or not joined the MPD as I could get a job after that? Being a police officer is something I do not want to do for the rest of my life, but I would love get a job at the highest level of government. I calculated that 3-5 years would be an officer would be beneficial to my goal of entering the FBI or any otherwise. Therefore, if anyone has advice it would be great! In fact, the FBI prefers people with no police experience, as they have to A-train and retrain for work to eat. But for the FBI, you do not need the title. Call your local FBI office, and establish an appointment to speak with one of the special agents. If you can get to the special agent in charge, even better. Take your school records and recommendations and you have can and the floor and talk to the right people. Do not do this by phone, but only one appointment with one of them.
