west point position?
right now i am 13 and i am in 8th grade and i wish to go to west point i have always wanted to go realy bad and i cant stop thinking about if i am going enough to get nominated and exepted.
1. am am in 3 high school classes rigth now algebra1, spanish 1, and IPS(science)
2. I have a 98.6% in science, a 97.9% in math, 102% in history, 100.7% in english, 97% in spanish, 100% gym.
3. i am about one of the top 3 in all my classes
4. I take extra computer classes online.
5. I am in civil airpatrol
6. I am on my civil air patrol color guard team,
7. I get up early and run 5 miles
8. I run 1.2 miles at night
9. I work out for about 45 mins with weights
10. I can do about 60-70 pushups in a row
11. I run track and play flag football for my school
12. I am one of the leaders in NJHS
i dont wanna sound like I am bragging but it would be greatly appreciated if you give me a answer,
ps. plz dont be a smart ass when it comes to my typing because I am in a hury haha.
Check their web site for admissions information. Go for all the leadership stuff you can. Get on sportts teams and volunteer for Captain. Run for student fgovernment. If you are a scout, reach trhe rank of Eagle. That one is Huge. I think they offer a one week summer session you can attend between your junior and senior years in high school. APply for it.
Go Visit the academy. Call write or email ahead. Eventually you will start working with their Officer recruiting Corp I think they are called the Gold Bar recruiters if memory serves me correctly.
You might also consider looking at all three service academies.
